Children's Hospital is proud to designate our funds from this year's event to Behavioral Health Initiatives. Mental/behavioral health disorders are the most common diseases of childhood, with half of all illness occurring before the age of 14. On average, 200 patients per month come through Rady Children’s Emergency Department seeking psychiatric care from their mental and behavioral health professionals. Rady Children’s Hospital helps children and their families manage these conditions which include depression, anxiety, attention deficit and developmental disorders, eating disorders, psychiatric illnesses and trauma related to domestic violence and sexual abuse. 100% of the funds are donated to the hospital.
