19-Year-Old Girl Obsessed With Social Media Commits Suicide After Not Getting Enough Likes
According to The Sun, Chloe Davison was found dead at her family home in Lanchester, County Durham, England on December 20, 2019.
On a Friday night, Chloe’s mother and sister returned home from a bar at approximately 11:30pm and found the 19-year-old hanging in her room. She had been taking pictures of herself before she took her own life, according to Nick Coombs, who was at the house when the young woman was found.
“She was an aspiring model who relied on social media to make her feel good about herself. She thought she wasn’t good enough unless she was getting loads of likes and comments. Chloe was crying many nights because someone had said something horrible about her online,” her older sister told the news.
“All she would talk about was how many likes she got,” her mother said.
“She was addicted to apps like Instagram and Snapchat,” stated family friend Nick Coombs who had known her for a long time.
