Cardi B Fired Ex-Manager For Stealing Her Money

On Thursday (April 26), we reported that Cardi B was being sued by her former manager, who claims that he discovered her, for $10 million. Now, we're learning more details about the suit.

A new report by TMZ says that the "Money Bag" artist gave her ex-manager, Shaft, the boot after she learned that he was stealing money from her. According to the rapper, he would allegedly tell Cardi that she was getting paid much less than she actually was for her performances, and then he would pocket the remaining balance.

"Our Cardi sources put it this way ... if Cardi got a gig that paid $100,000, Shaft would tell her she was making $50k and allegedly pocket the balance," the news outlet reads.

"What's more ... Cardi's fiance, Offset, went ballistic when he learned she was paying Shaft a 20% manager's fee ... way more than he says is the norm. Offset pushed her hard to give Shaft the boot, which she did."

TMZ sources say that, yes, Shaft did charge a 20% manager's fee. However, the former manager said that it was for good reason. According to him, he used that money to book writers and producers who would work on Cardi's music, including her breakout single "Bodak Yellow." Shaft also adds that the only reason Offset was out to get him was so the Migos rapper could control his fiancĆ©e and her career.

A rep for Shaft told TMZ, "Shaft is disappointed by her actions to freeze him out of her career."
