Less than a month ago, J. Cole dropped his latest album, KOD, after announcing that it was coming just a few days beforehand. Now, we officially have a tour from the star.
On Tuesday (May 8), the rapper told his fans that his KOD Tour will be coming to a city near them and every last one of his supporters can't wait to cop tickets. Another big surprise is that rapper Young Thug will be opening up for Cole on the majority of the dates. It's scheduled to begin on Aug. 9 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. The tour will wrap up on Oct. 10 at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
The KOD Tour will stop through dozens of other cities across North America like New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Nashville, Detroit, Philadelphia and many more. According to Cole, the pre-sale for tickets will start Wednesday (May 9) and the general tickets will be on sale on Saturday (May 12). So, mark your calendars and as the rapper put it on social media, "Choose wisely."
Just a few weeks ago, Cole announced that he'll be launching his very own music festival, too. Called the Dreamville Festival, the music event will begin on Sept. 15 in Raleigh, NC at Dorothea Dix Park. “We’ve been trying to put this festival together for a few years now,” said Cole’s manager and president of Dreamville Records, Ibrahim ‘Ib’ Hamad, previously said about it. “It’s just hard to come into a city and get the whole city to approve it and (get) behind you. So it was great that we took our time ... and really connected with the city (and) connected with the mayor.”
