Meek Mill has taken his support of Colin Kaepernick to the next level. The Philadephia rapper is preparing to drop a Kap-inspired song ahead of the release of his upcoming album.

"I actually got a song coming out about Colin Kaepernick," the "We Ball" rapper told the New York Post at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's 48th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C over the weekend. He then rapped a few bars from the soon-to-be-released song. โ€œThey wonโ€™t lynch him by hanging from a tree/They lynch his bank account,โ€ he rapped. โ€œThey told Kap to stand up if you want to play for a team, and most of his teammates said the same thing,โ€ and, โ€œBack in the โ€™30s you would be killed if you kneeled/They wonโ€™t kill you now, they just take you out of the deal.โ€

As for when his album, which will feature the Kap-song, is going to hit the airwaves, Meek said "it's a surprise album ... I'm not actually giving out a release date."

Last month, rappers banded behind Colin after his name was bleeped out Big Sean's verse on YGโ€™s โ€œBig Bankโ€ on the soundtrack for Madden NFL 19.  โ€œItโ€™s disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7โ€™s name out of my verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word. When he's not a curse, he's a gift,โ€ Big Sean tweeted at the time. โ€œNobody from my team approved any of this.โ€

Seanโ€™s tweet came after a fan shared a video of an advance copy of Madden NFL 19โ€™s soundtrack that showed Colinโ€™s name was removed from the rapperโ€™s verse. Instead of Sean saying, "Feed me to the wolves, now I lead the pack and s**t / You boys all cap, I'm more Colin Kaepernick," the verse cut out after the word "more" and resumed with the next line. Colin later retweeted Big Seanโ€™s message, writing, โ€œMuch love brother! Thank you for having my back!โœŠ๐Ÿพโ€

EA Sports later issued an apology, calling their actions an โ€œunfortunate mistakeโ€ that would be corrected when the game hits shelves the following week.

Colin, who recently came under fire for his controversial Nike ad, is currently pursuing an ongoing collusion case against the NFL and its owners. The former San Francisco 49er quarterback claims that the leagueโ€™s owners worked together to keep him out of the NFL because of his social activism.
