Anderson .Paak Pays Tribute To Mac Miller And Nipsey Hussle At Coachella

Anderson .Paak closed out his 13-song Coachella set with a tribute to Mac Miller and Nipsey Hussle on Friday (April 12), ending his performance with "Dang!," a collaborative single that's featured on the late Miller's 2016 album The Divine Feminine.

While the beat of the song began blasting through the loudspeakers, .Paak asked the crowd to put “one hand in the air for my brother, I miss him so much, Mac Miller, and one hand in the air for Nipsey Hussle” while behind the drumset before encouraging them to chant "I love ya! I miss ya!" to anyone that they've lost.

Friday also marked the release of Ventura, .Paak's second album in six months and follow up to Oxnard. His Coachella set also saw the live debut of several new tracks, including “King James” and "Make It Better," his collaboration with Smokey Robinson.

On Thursday (April 11), Nipsey's life was celebrated at a memorial in Los Angeles and was attended by the likes of James Harden, Big Sean, Meek Mill, G-EazyDJ Khaled, Kendrick Lamar, LeBron James, The Game, Marsha Ambrosius, Snoop Dogg, Jhene Aiko, YG, Stevie WonderBig Boy, and many more.
