The Burn Institute, local Bay Park businesses and firefighters from all across San Diego County will be joining together for a smashing showcase of derby cars at the Firefighter Demolition Derby Pre-Rally Block Party.

Where: Bay Park San Diego on Ashton Blvd. between Morena and Chicago
Cost: Free admission with $5 food and drink tickets. 100% of ticket sales will be donated back to the Burn Institute!
This family friendly community event will be taking place on Wednesday, May 29 from 5pm-8pm on Ashton Blvd. between Morena and Chicago. The Block Party will feature cuisine from neighboring restaurants including Bay Park Fish Company, Luce Bar & Kitchen and Siesel’s Old Fashioned Meats, a craft beer garden from Poseidon Project, live music from local band Third Project and a whole lot of family fun!
Firefighters will be showing off their customized clunkers before the smash them in the June 1st Firefighter Demolition Derby, taking place at the San Diego County Fair. Get an up close look at the derby cars and a chance to meet the local heroes who will be driving them. Food and drink tickets will be sold for $5.00 each and 100% of the proceeds will support the Burn Institute, a local non-profit that provides fire and burn prevention education and burn survivor support services.
