R. Kelly Complains That Only One Girlfriend At A Time Can Visit Him In Jail

R. Kelly can't have it his way behind Chicago bars, or so it appears.

According to reports, the disgraced R&B singer's attorney Steven Greenberg filed an 11-page motion in US District Court in New York, asking to reconsider the decision to hold him without bond. His lawyer also specifically complained how his visitation privileges only allow him to visit with one of his girlfriends at a time. "His visits are severely restricted; presently, he is only allowed one unrelated person to visit. In other words, although he lives and has lived with two lady friends, only one of them is allowed to be on his visiting list, and after 90 days he is required to switch," Greenberg said in the motion, which was filed on Monday (September 30). "No other friends or professional colleagues are allowed to visit. That is not right."

Additionally, Greenberg's motion stated he isn't a flight risk and doesn't pose a threat to the alleged victims. Brooklyn U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly is scheduled to hear this motion Wednesday.

While Kelly has been in a Chicago jail since July for federal sex crime charges, he is also facing charges in New York on on racketeering, kidnapping, forced labor and sexual exploitation of a child. He pleaded not guilty to the federal charges in August.
