H.E.R. Reps The Bay Area In 'Slide' Video Featuring YG

Last month H.E.R. surprised us with a new single, the YG-assisted "Slide." The lyrics give off a Bonnie and Clyde vibe of rebellious lovers as the R&B star sings "I don't care if we on the run/ Nothin' matters when we one on one/ Lookin' at us 'cause we goin' dumb/ We on the same wave, you the same way/ You know I be down if it's with you/ Where we goin'? Baby, what's the move?" with YG sharing a similar sentiment.

"I only come out when the star's out/ I'm on a mission but we far out/ This city talkin' with a large mouth/ Yeah they after the boy like fall out" he raps during his verse before getting a little raunchy at the end.

On Thursday (October 17) the 22-year-old shared the song's video, which also portrays love — this time for her city of Vallejo, California. Shot in the Bay Area, the Grammy winner dons clothing repping her hometown's area code 707.

"Proud to represent my roots being from the Bay Area!" she told Complex about the visuals. "I’ve always wanted to ghost ride the whip and it’s the perfect song to get hyphy! Shout out to the best side and YG!"
