Exclusive: Breonna Taylor's Mom Speaks About The Night She Was Murdered

Breonna Taylor's life was tragically taken from her on March 13th this year by Louisville Metro Police Department officers in her apartment. To this day almost three months later there have been zero arrests and there has yet to be justice brought to those who murdered Breonna.

In a special Interview with Angela Yee From The Breakfast Club, Angie Martinez, and Tamika D. Mallory, Breonna Taylor's Mother spoke out about the tragic murder of her child as well as all the events that happened that evening.

The details behind what happened that night have been told in many different ways, with the police department having their own version of what transpired with the officers, but speaking with the hosts, Tamika Palmer emotionally recalled the phone call she received from Breonna's boyfriend that set off the series of events that happened that evening.

"Her boyfriend called me and said that somebody kicked In the door and he thinks Breonna is shot, he said he couldn’t see, he was yelling her name and screaming for her and of course I jumped up and then we got disconnected, so I get dressed and head over there."

After this moment Ms. Palmer drove over to the apartment complex where her daughter lived and with the street lined full of police cars she was continued to give the runaround about what had happened including someone telling her that ambulances went to the hospital and then eventually being told that her daughter was not there and they had no record of her being taken to the hospital.

When she returned to the complex detectives were questioning her about the women who lived in the apartment complex as well as Breonna's boyfriend Kenny asking her various questions about their relationship with each other. At that point, they still hadn't told her or what happened. Another couple of hours later the detective told her Breonna was still in the apartment and that they had "Identified her using some paperwork". It was at that moment that Tamika realized what had happened to her daughter and while the coroner came to speak to her another couple of hours later they told her that she wouldn't be able to see her daughter and during that conversation, Ms. Palmer expressed that they snuck her body away while the two were speaking.

To this day there hasn't been an apology or anything of the sorts issued to her family and justice has still not been served.
