Settlement w/ Breonna Taylor’s family includes $12M + police reform
Alright in case you missed it yesterday the city of Louisville made a historic settlement with the family of Breonna Taylor and announced its plan to pay $12M to Breonna’s estate and to reform police practices in the city and Breonna’s mother said at yesterday’s press conference that “we must not lose focus on what the real job is, and with that being said it’s time to move forward with the criminal charges because deserves that and so much more” the family’s attorney said at that same press conference that “we won’t let Breonna Taylor’s life be swept under the rug.” As you know, Breonna Taylor, a 26- year-old EMT was shot and killed by Louisville Metro Police back in March while serving a no-knock warrant. Cardi B files for divorce from Offset
Alright now for the talk of the town and I’m sure you’ve seen it already but just in case you missed it, miss Cardi B has reportedly filed for divorce from Offset and the blogs are having a field day with this one man but according to our sources, Cardi says she wants the split to be friendly and actually wants Offset to have joint custody of baby Kulture and she’s reportedly determined to make this thing as smooth as possible. This comes after she posted a cryptic message the other day hinting at a breakup with a caption that read “her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time” and well, there you have it. Aztecs to play 2021 football games in Carson at Dignity Health
In case you missed it yesterday San Diego State made a huge announcement and said they’ve come to terms and made the decision to play its 2021 home football games at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson while the university works on its new stadium in Mission Valley and I know what you’re thinking, Manny isn’t Dignity Health the same place the Chargers went... and yes, you are absolutely right, our Aztecs are headed up the freeway and will play their 2021 spring season at the old Charger stadium and when asked why this specific stadium, SDSU Athletic Director JD Wicker said ‘the school’s intention was to play a final season in SDCCU Stadium and we just didn’t think any stadiums in San Diego could satisfy what we want to present to our student athletes and fans and once the sale of the site was finalized it became clear that the existing stadium had to come down in the first quarter of 2021.” JD goes on to assure the city that unlike the Chargers, the Aztecs will be back in 2022. America’s Got Talent: TWO San Diego locals battle for final spots on AGT
Alright last night not one but TWO contestants with roots here in Diego took the stage for the second semifinal round on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and they killed it ya’ll, both of them [YES] yes both Celina Graves from Esco and the Voices of our City Choir directed by Steph Johnson delivered some jaw-dropping performances that with fingers crossed, will earn them a top spot in the finals set to air this Friday the 18th at 8PM so I hope you saved our girls!
