Polo G has been arrested on gun charges for the second time this year.
According to a report TMZ published on Monday, October 21, the Chicago native was pulled over for speeding while driving in the San Fernando Valley over the weekend. Cops searched his vehicle and discovered a loaded pistol. He was placed in handcuffs and taken to Valley Jail in Van Nuys, where he was booked and charged with felony possession of a concealed weapon. As of this report, Polo G has not been granted bail and is reportedly sitting in a jail cell.
Polo G's latest run-in with police couldn't have come at a worse time. It's the second time he was caught with a loaded weapon within the past six months. During his time in New York City in April, the Hood Poet rapper was arrested for 2nd and 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon after he allegedly left a Glock 23 in his room at The Dominick hotel.
Prior to that, he was arrested alongside his brother Tauren Bartlett a.k.a "Trench Baby" at their Los Angeles-area home. Cops surrounded the rapper's home last November and executed a search warrant in relation to a robbery investigation. Police put Polo G, Tauren and two others in handcuffs and took them into custody. At the time, investigators were trying to determine if Polo was harboring a fugitive after his brother was accused of killing a man during a drive-by shooting in North Hollywood.
The "Pop Out" rapper was apprehended again just a few days before his "Hood Poet Tour" is set to begin. Polo G is scheduled to embark on his "Hood Poet Tour" with Skilla Baby, VonOff1700 and others in support of his fourth studio album. The 25-city tour is supposed to kick-off on October 24 in Denver.
