YFN Lucci may finally be released after serving three and a half years behind bars.

According to an update Loren Lorosa shared on Sunday, January 12, the Atlanta rapper could walk out of Fulton County Jail in Georgia this month. A source close to the situation said Lucci, born Rayshawn Bennett, may be released "any day now." His team is on standby and is ready to make moves once they get the call. His attorney Drew Findling previously confirmed Lucci's potential release date last July after the leading prosecutor in Fulton County vouched for the rapper's early release in a letter to the State Board of Pardons and Paroles.

The "Everyday We Lit" rapper was indicted along with a dozen other alleged gang members in May 2021. He was charged with murder after police accused him of being the driver in a 2020 drive-by shooting that claimed the life of 28-year-old Atlanta native James Adams. As part of his plea deal, prosecutors dropped the other 12 of 13 counts against him.

YFN Lucci was sentenced last January after he pleaded guilty to one count of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. A judge ordered him to serve 10 years in prison and 10 years on probation. He received time served for the three years he had already spent in Fulton County, which made him eligible for parole in three and a half months. Once released, Lucci will have to serve the rest of his sentence on probation with specific conditions.

If he does get out this month, fans may also get some new music from YFN Lucci as well. Shortly after his sentencing, the 33-year-old artist dropped a couple of new songs to hold his fans down like "Free Me" and "Date Night." It's possible Lucci could drop more once he's out of jail.
