Ye claims he's a billionaire once again.
The artist formerly known as Kanye West shared a message from valuation firm Eton Venture Services just after midnight on Friday, January 24. EVS reports that Ye's net worth has soared to $2.77 billion as of 2025. The company calculated his net worth "based on his music portfolio and his sole ownership of the Yeezy mark." The rapper has been releasing his latest music independently via his YZY imprint since last year and has sold plenty of merch on his Yeezy website. Ye reacted by using his classic intro from "Can't Tell Me Nothing."
"LAAA LA LA LA," he wrote in his caption.
For the unfamiliar, the Chicago native lost his billionaire status in 2022 after adidas and other major corporations severed ties with the artist due to his antisemitic views. In the years after he was canceled by society, Ye continued to release music independently like his VULTURES 1 album with Ty Dolla $ign, which reportedly racked up $1 million in its first week.
Although it's great news for Ye, Forbes has yet to confirm his updated net worth. The business magazine still lists his net worth at $400 million. However, if it's real, then Ye would take the crown as the richest artist in Hip-Hop from JAY-Z, who's currently worth $2.5 billion. He would also surpass his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, who's worth $1.7 billion.
Ye is bound to stack up more cash in the coming months. He recently debuted his latest collection including his Yeezy SLPRS and teased new music ahead of his BULLY album. His net worth could increase by the time Forbes looks into it.
