A small fishing boat that collided with the USS Midway on Friday caused an estimated $100,000 dollars in damage according to a spokesman for the Midway Museum along San Diego Bay.
The carrier's hull was not breached, and there were no reported injuries due to the incident, according to David Koontz, the Midway's Marketing Director.
He says there were no disruptions to the operation of the Midway and the museum remains open to the public.
The incident is under investigation by the San Diego Harbor Police.
The captain of the fishing vessel was arrested and is facing Boating DUI charges.
