Fashion influencer Marian Izaguirre died at the age of 23 last week, just days after sharing an eerie video in which she was crying in clown makeup.
Izaguirre, who has more than 4.5 million followers on TikTok, was reported missing by her family on September 1, located in a Morelia, Mexico, hotel room on September 6, and confirmed dead on September 12, PEOPLE reports. The events leading to the influencer's death are unclear, however, police confirmed that she became brain-dead from health complications.
Izaguirre shared a cryptic video of herself wearing clown makeup and appearing to cry while lip-syncing lyrics about lost love four days after she was reported missing.
“All the promises of my love will go with you,” she wrote in Spanish in the video caption of the TikTok post. “Why are you leaving?”
Izaguirre was suspected to be staying at the hotel where she was eventually located for several days and found in poor health.
“She was treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital,” the Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
Numerous fans and colleagues shared tributes to Izaguirre following news of her death.
“In the short time I knew you, you were a wonderful girl, with a smile that never went away,” fellow content creator Marcelo Alcázar wrote in a post. “You’re an angel, and you always were.”
