Padres Going Back To The Playoffs!

The Padres are returning to the playoffs after their 5-4 win over the Brewers in 11 innings Monday night.

This marks San Diego's second straight postseason appearance, and their fourth in the last six years.

It also marks the first time the Padres have put together back-to-back playoff appearances since 2005-06.

The Padres came back from an early 3-1 deficit with a run in the fifth inning and another in the seventh before coming back again in the 10th.

The Union Tribune reports the Padres will likely head to Chicago to play the Cubs in a best-of-three wild-card series that will begin Sept. 30 at Wrigley Field.

That will be determined by a combination of results in San Diego and elsewhere over the regular season’s final six days.
