For 35 years San Diego children have had an opportunity to open their minds to new worlds and endless possibilities by receiving their very own FREE book. This year San Diego's Annual Children's Book Party in Balboa Park will celebrate its 35th year and children from grades K-12 are invited to join the festivities. From 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. families will be able to enjoy free entertainment, refreshments and best of all, each child will receive two brand new books to call their very own.
Since its start 35 years ago, the Children's Book Party has given more than one million books to San Diego children thanks to the hard work of event creator and organizer Roosevelt Brown.
