Yesterday we were blessed with an opportunity to hang with Bell Junior High School’s E.M.P.I.R.E. Class with Paving Great Futures. It’s truly amazing to watch what this class can do for students who can easily be labeled or pushed aside.
These kids are talented and have now been given the tools to express themselves through music. The acronym E.M.P.I.R.E. stands for Engineering and Music Program Inspiring Rising Entrepreneurs.
The program is 16 weeks and the participants meet for an hour after school and learn all things music! We came in to share what we know through our radio experience, but it was the kids that were the true talent in the room that taught us a thing or two. They will be able to showcase their creations at the Youth Hip Hop Summit on June 16, 2018.
