Rey Mysterio Day was declared today (6/19) in San Diego, California by Councilmember David Alvarez (District 8) in honor of the lucha libre icon!
According to LuchaCentral.com, the area code that Rey Mysterio made popular all over the world is honoring the very first luchador to become WWE World Champion with his very own day in the San Diego! San Diego City Councilman David Alvarez is going to honor Mysterio by proclaiming June 19th, suitably 6/19, “Rey Mysterio Day” in the San Diego, California.
How cool is that?! Congrats Rey!
