Racial injustice themes fill empty NFL stadiums

Beginning with sports, you get to catch any of those football games yesterday? Well in case you missed it the NFL is officially back baby and the once reluctant league led the charge in demonstrations against racial injustices with one of the most notable coming from the Seahawks and the Falcons when during kickoff every player on the field took a knee for about 10 seconds before trotting off the field (absolutely beautiful) and another happening right before the Vikings-Green Bay game when Viking’s players locked arms prior to kickoff and the Packers remained in their locker room during the anthem as the family of George Floyd watched from the stands. The Packers were joined by the Jaguars, Bills, Jets, Dolphins and Cardinals who all stayed in their locker rooms for both the national anthem and ‘Lift Every Voice & Sing’ and Colts head coach Frank Reich said and I quote “to be clear, we were not protesting the flag, the anthem or the men and women who wear the uniform”.
