A police officer shot Jordan Edwards, a 15-year-old boy in the head as he was leaving a house party. Then lies about the circumstances to justify his discharge of fire arm and that is all? Just fired? Let me hear one of my friends say he was "doing his job"...please. I cannot understand why it is so hard to understand that a badge isn't an immunity from killing innocent lives. This officer is NOT the judge and jury. This officer does not get to hand out death penalties before knowing of ANY CRIME! Why is that so hard to understand? This officer is paid to protect and serve.
Why is it so hard for people to separate the action from the WHOLE DEPARTMENT, VETS INCLUDED? Why is it that when a police officer does wrong, another police officer can't just say, "YES HE WAS WRONG!". You know what is right and wrong. Why defend the wrong, at all? If you aren't sure whats right and wrong, LISTEN. Don't speak. I can't say I know what its like to be a Police Officer or the stress of the job, but no one forces you to do that job. If you are constantly fearful, YOU WILL DO SOMETHING IN FEAR AND IT WILL PROBABLY BE WORST THAN IF YOU worked a low stress job.
I'm on one. I'm sorry. I know a lot of people. Good people and good people that do bad things. I don't meet a lot of bad, to the bone, bad people. However, when you have done a bad thing, consequences follow.
