The Teacher of the Year award goes to Ms. Newby of Pine Bluff, AR.
Creative English teacher Rebecca Newby, 22, created the most EPIC and relatable hall passes for her students using the Cardi B “My momma said meme pic.”
The passes feature young Cardi and have captions like, “Ms. Newby said I can go to the library" and "Ms. Newby said I can go to the restroom."
Ms. Newby said she became a teacher because she felt it was important to have “good teachers” who can relate to students as well as teach them.
