Mathew Knowles, Beyonce's father, spoke out about Destiny's Child working with R. Kelly and how he handled the situation.
He said it was 1998 and R. Kelly was also signed to Sony as was Destiny's Child. Record labels would almost force you to record with their artists.
He said during the recording session both he and Tina Knowles-Lawson were always present. If one of the girls had to go to the bathroom Tina took them.
He said R. Kelly liked to record at midnight and next to the studio he had a club of about 40 to 50 people.
The group never used his song because one, Mathew did not like the song and the rumors at the time made him reject the song.
