Southwest Emergency Landing
- There was a Southwest plane that took off from a San Diego that was heading to Oakland, that was forced to turn back around after it struck a bird. A passenger did mention there was a bump right at liftoff but nothing crazy. However, there was a horrible smell and some smoke. A few minutes later the pilot said, "Right, when we took off we hit a bird and that might be what you are smelling. There were no serious damage or injuries.
Padres
The Home Opener is almost here, but today the Padres will host the Seattle Mariners in an exhibition game today. Gates will open early at 3 p.m. to let fans explore the newly-renovated park. Aztecs beat Yale 85-57 last night to advance to the Sweet 16.Their next game is against UConn, who they played in the national championship last year.
